A stacked battery is a battery system that consists of two or more individual batteries that are connected in series or parallel configuration. The purpose of a stacked battery is to increase the total voltage or current output of the battery system, depending on the application.

In a series configuration, the batteries are connected end-to-end, with the positive terminal of one battery connected to the negative terminal of the next battery. This arrangement increases the total voltage output of the battery system, while the current output remains the same.

In a parallel configuration, the batteries are connected side-by-side, with the positive terminals connected together and the negative terminals connected together. This arrangement increases the total current output of the battery system, while the voltage output remains the same.
